I first saw Steve Nash play at the 1993 Canada Summer Games in Kamloops, BC. I thought he was awesome and had many heated discussions with basketball buddies that he would one day make the NBA. Now, years later, he is probably one of the most recognizable Canadian athlete (outside of hockey players of course). On August 9, 2014 there will be a showing of "Nash: The Documentary" at the North End of Kits Beach, Vancouver, Canada. Check out Vancouver Basketball for more details. The San Antonio Spurs won the 2014 NBA Championships. Although I'm not a big NBA watcher, I did like how the Spurs played and how they seemed to incorporate team play over individual stats and stardom. Check out this video which highlights this idea of team play. Becky Hammon will be the first female to coach fulll-time in the NBA. She was announced to be the San Antonio Spurs Assistant Coach.
