Coaching Career
I started coaching the year right after I stopped playing college basketball in 1997. Here is a breakdown of my coaching career: 1997 - 2000 - Assistant Coach - Okanagan University College 1997 - 2010 - Head Coach - U14/U15 Basketball BC Regional Teams 2001 - 2003 - Head Coach - Correlieu Senior Boys Basketball Team 2003 - 2006 - Head Coach - Okanagan Mission Senior Boys Basketball Team 2006 - 2008 - Head Coach - Dr. Knox Middle School Gr. 8/9 Girls Basketball Team 2008 - 2010 - Head Coach - Kelowna Secondary School Junior Girls Basketball Team 2010 - Present - Head Coach - Kelowna Secondary School Senior Girls Basketball Team I have also coached at the various provincial levels in BC that includes: 1. Head Coach - Okanagan TAS-POD BC Basketball/Canada Basketball Training 2. Head and Assistant Coach - Okanagan Regional Training Center (Basketball BC) 3. Head Coach - U14/U15 South Okanagan Regional Teams 4. Assistant Coach - U14 Okanagan Girls Summer Games Team 5. Assistant Coach - U15 BC Girls Provincial Team |
Education
I graduated from Correlieu Secondary School in Quesnel, BC, Canada. I obtained my undergraduate degree with a Major in Chemistry and Minor in Biology from Okanagan University College in Kelowna, BC, Canada. I attended the University of Victoria to acquire my Professional Development in teaching. Finally, I obtained my Masters in Educational Technology from the University of British Columbia.
As for basketball, I am a NCCP Level 3 Certified Coach. I am in the process of updating this certification to the new NCCP standards. |
